Young Henry

Henry grew up in Oklahoma City, OK. He attended Putnam City North High School which had a pretty good drama department and fueled his interest in the arts. He started taking acting classes when he was 14, did lots of musical theater (but never Oklahoma!) and in his Senior year joined a community theater group that wanted to put on Meaningful and Important Dramas but never successfully mounted a show. He moved to Los Angeles right out of high school to pursue a career in acting. He worked as a bartender in Van Nuys until a chance encounter got him an audition for Aaron Spelling's Iron Man television series. He was cast as Tony Stark.


Henry as Tony Stark

Henry worked as an actor for nearly a decade; he became close to the real Tony Stark and the two were known for their wild partying. Eventually the drinking and drugs caught up with Henry, he was fired from the TV series and forced into rehab. When sober he decided against a comeback. He believed going back to acting would lead him back to drinking and he would only self-destruct. Instead he became an advocate of Alcoholics Anonymous, eventually becoming an accredited Substance Abuse Counselor. Years after going through rehab himself he sponsored Tony. Over the years he also worked as a Non-Profit Project Coordinator, a Motivational Speaker and finally as a Registered Superhero when Tony took over SHIELD and created the Fifty States Initiative. As Anthem he ran the Order, California's superhero team, for nearly two years, resigning after Tony stepped down and Norman Osborn was appointed Director.

Henry now works as an Addiction Counselor at the Wayne Clinic in Gotham.



Family

Henry's parents divorced when he was ten years old and his father disappeared from his life for more than a decade, contacting him only after he was on TV. His mother died when he was twenty-two years old. He speaks to his father once or twice a year but has no substantial relationship with him; his father calls Henry when he needs an influx of cash.

Henry has been married and divorced three times. He met Amanda when he first moved to L.A., Dena at one of Tony's wild parties and Allison while he was dealing with his alcoholism. The marriages to Mandy and Dena failed mostly due to the lifestyle of Hollywood partying, drinking and drugs; when he divorced Allison he told his closest friends he was a homosexual and couldn't pretend anymore. Four years later, however, he met and fell in love with Lorna Dane and the two are engaged to be married. Lorna has a four year old daughter, Katie.

Friends


Kate Kildare

Henry's closest friends, besides Lorna, are Tony Stark and Kate Kildare. He met both through the Iron Man television series and credits them with saving his life when he was likely to drink it away. He was Tony's best drinking buddy and then his AA sponsor. When Tony decided to build a team in CA he put Henry in charge. Henry in turn brought in Kate, who has a career in Public Relations. She's worked as his PR agent for the span of his acting career and beyond and remains in the role in addition to being his best friend. The two never quite had a romance but she fell for him along the way. His relationship with Lorna put some strain on the friendship but she remains his closest friend.

Henry is also close to Pepper Potts, James Wa, Milo Fields, Becky Ryan, Magdalena Marie, Liz Lemon and Violet Turner.
